TitleInventory of McCrindle's Collection
DescriptionSewell used a bound notebook to compile an inventory of the collection of paintings owned by McCrindle. This was carried out in January 1973 as a valuation for insurance purposes.

Sewell arranged the information alphabetically by artists' surnames, followed by the title, medium, and size of the works. He also noted a value for each individual painting in pounds sterling and valued the entire collection at £72,150.00.

This material also includes four letters sent to McCrindle by John Maxon, Associate Director, The Art Institute of Chicago, dated 11-17 April 1967, concerning a picture in McCrindle's collection of Sigismund II Augustus, King of Poland (1520-1572) by the Italian artist Paris Bordone (1500-1571). These were enclosed in the notebook.
