TitleEdith Edwards Preventorium
Admin/Biog HistoryConnell, Ward and Lucas were approached in 1935-1939 by the Margaret Street Hospital for Consumption in Marylebone to design a tuberculosis preventorium, called the Edith Edwards Preventorium in Papworth. The project, led by Mrs R.G. Edwards, was to be in memory of Edith Edwards. However failure to raise the required £20,000, along with the start of the Second World War (1939-1945) meant that the project was never completed.
