Admin/Biog HistoryIn 1935 Connell, Ward and Lucas, working with Cyril Sweett as quantity surveyor, submitted designs for a working-class flats competition set up by Cement Marketing Ltd. The winners of the competition were Lubetkin and Tecton. Connell, Ward and Lucas were highly commended for their designs.

-Two b&w photographs, [dated c1936] showing an architectural model and sketch of the Connell, Ward and Lucas entry for the competition
-One letter, dated May 1994, from the British Cement Association and one letter, dated June 1994, from Blue Circle Industries PLC to Dennis Sharp relating to research on the entry by Connell, Ward and Lucas for the working class flats competition
