TitleRowlandson Symposium: Boston Public Library
Admin/Biog HistoryA Rowlandson Symposium (sometimes referred to as a Seminar or Festival) was held at Boston Public Library in May 1973. The symposium was to include public lectures by Hayes, Draper Hill, Robert Wark and Ronald Paulson, an opportunity to see original drawings by Rowlandson, talks aimed at collectors dealers, curators and teachers with an interest in Rowlandson, as well as outings to see Rowlandson drawings at Harvard and the Boston Museum of Fine Art.

A publication entitled 'A Rowlandson Festival' was planned following the Symposium but it was never produced.
