Admin/Biog HistoryThe Paul Mellon Centre produced its first newsletter in 1995, the aim - as reported in the first issue - being 'to publicise the Centre's activities and publications'. Newsletters are printed and distributed bi-annually, free of charge to all individuals who have an interest in the work of the Centre. Since 2002 a copy has also been made available on the Centre's website.
DescriptionNewsletters contain information about each area of the Centre's activity, reporting on developments in the Library and Archive; Yale-in-London Programme; Publications; Academic Activities and Grant & Fellowships awards. They include, in particular, details of forthcoming events and publications, as well as information about recently awarded grants and fellowships.

Newsletters also report on significant anniversaries; appointments and retirements in the Yale and Paul Mellon Centre community. Each newsletter contains a list of Paul Mellon Centre Staff and Advisory Council Members. They also include information about events at the Yale Center of British Art.

In 2015 the format of the newsletters was changed. As well as reporting on standard areas of PMC activity, from this date they also include features on special projects, research and initiatives. From this time, the title was changed to PMC Notes.
